Casa ALZA is the remodeling of an existing one floor 1960´s home in a residential neighborhood in Santiago, Chile.
The structure and distribution of the first floor is the original one, there is the living room, dining room and separated Kitchen, and also 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms.
The wooden volume on the second floor houses the master bedroom with a large bathroom and walking closet, along with a living room adapted for the needs of the family, a large bookcase and an activity table.
The extension of the house is oriented to the needs of the family, trying to respect the noble architecture of the existing house. The wood and iron along with the windows that protrude from the façade create a modern style and give luminosity to the space, as well as recovering the views.
