This country house is designed with a contemporary style that blends traditional rural elements with modern, sophisticated features. Located at the foot of Mount Grappa, the completely renovated house is a quiet retreat away from the city for a young couple who love spending the weekends in unspoilt countryside.
The plainless of the architectural model follows perfectly the original country style of the house that was built by the grandfather of the current owner in the ‘50s and the renovation project aims to maintain a link with the past and the memories of this family house.
This project looks at the connection between spaces and materials and how they relate to history and modernity, moreover a thorough study allowed to reuse the original materials in the construction of the new building. Besides the recovered materials and new energy saving systems, design choices are based on the concept of environmental sustainability, the enhancement of the territory and the surrounding landscape.
