The project explores the duality between the stereotomic and the tectonic to resolve a programme of variable occupancy. This grandparents' house is sited on a plot in the semi-rural area of Buenos Aires. The compositional strategy is based on the clear differentiation of two superimposed volumes with distinct material and spatial logics.

The lower volume, crafted from white, textured masonry, is a solid mass from which voids have been subtracted to create courtyards. These landscaped spaces are the core of the project: programmatic articulators that connect the interior and exterior. They perforate the mass to introduce light, nature, and visual permeability. The ground floor is thus transformed into a continuous and adaptable domestic space that mutates with the life it contains, capable of accommodating the quietness of two people or the bustle of a multigenerational family gathering. Multiple activities can coexist within a spatial flow that fosters connection.

In contrast, the upper level is a light and ethereal tectonic construction. A skin of vertical aluminium louvres envelops the principal suite, dematerialising the volume and turning it into a filter for light and privacy. This elevated retreat, the couple's 'nest', rests delicately upon the base, claiming distant views of the Pampa landscape and an atmosphere of serene introspection. The façade becomes a veil that choreographs the passing of the day through the changing play of light and shadow.

Thus, the work achieves a synthesis where the formal strategy is the direct and eloquent expression of a complex family structure. It is an architecture that offers a resonant and flexible framework, defined by the controlled tension between a heavy, perforated base and a light, ethereal crown.
