Two collections by Lea Ceramiche adorn parts of the new headquarters of Club Rossonero
Architect and designer Fabio Novembre is the mastermind behind the project for the new home of Club Rossonero, Casa Milan. Recently opened to the public and already one of Milan’s top attractions, the impressive architectural complex (10,000 m2) includes the Mondo Milan museum, the Cucina Milanello restaurant and bar, the Milan Store as well as office spaces.
Novembre chose Lea Ceramiche products for parts of the flooring, selecting two collections, which lend a material effect to the surfaces, perfectly in tone with the overall design concept of the building.
Starting with the office space area (conference room, breakout area and management offices covering 3,500 m2), the floors feature tiles from the Metropolis collection. The products of this collection, which evoke a cemented surface, are available in a wide range of colours – seven variations blending warm and cold tones. Colour-defined modules have been used to create a pattern of recurrent strips, giving a sense of movement to the space while reflecting the intended dynamic effect of the walls.
Milan Store is the new official point of sale of Club Rossonero. The area, which covers 500 m2, is divided into two aisles and welcomes visitors with five spectacularly dynamic, blazing red sculptures. It is entirely covered in ultra-thin sheets (3.5 mm thickness) of Gouache Slimtech by Lea Ceramiche. Created in an impressive 3 m x 1 m format, the modules make full use of the space, highlighting the characteristics of the various areas dedicated to merchandising, the Bookshop and the personalised football shirts area.
Moving into the Cucina Milanello, Gouache Slimtech tiles also cover the whole restaurant area (500 m2). Besides offering outstanding functionality and sustainability, the large laminate stoneware tile formats lend an elegant and welcoming look to the space.
