Centre de recyclage Le Havre Nord

Reuse, Recycle

ER Architectes as Architects

The recycling facility is a group of three buildings and two vehicules area,  united all the fonction  in a single winding path.

The environnemental process was a central preoccupation for the client, CODAH as the notion of his representation for the public.

The architecture has to show the meaning of the center: Reuse of existant material was a solution to intersect fonction and form.

A collaborative work between ER architect and BELLASTOCK (specialist of reuse and circular economy) allowed the integration of the process all along the studies. BELLASTOCK sponsored a territorial diagnosis to find material field of existant building to be demolished.

Reuse concern pavement, bricks and creation of stone gabion.

The projet  wins the infrastructure part of the "trophée de la construction" organised by the website Batiactu.
