Seat of the Italian Sokka Gokkai Buddhist Institute, the cultural centre is situated in a deep lot of land that runs along Naviglio Grande in Corsico, Milan. The entrance is through one of the most beautiful Visconti farmhouses. The Renaissance complex is made up of different buildings that are arranged in such a way that they form two C-shaped courtyards one after the other, both directed towards the open side in the
direction of a park and a new pavilion; there is an auditorium that can seat 1,000 people at the far end of the area, at the height of the practicable entrance and a car park: a prismatic structure with a rhomboidal plan faced on the exterior with gilded aluminium sheeting. The functional redevelopment included the meticulous, painstaking conservative restoration of the sixteenth-century buildings and the reinforcement of
the historical plaster and stone base, the restoration of the railings and the replacement of the doors and windows.

The 0S2 and EBE systems in burnished brass were used for the profiles of the doors and windows in the manor house, but also to close the arcades and loggias of the colannades
and stables with transparent windows.
