Our circular design for the interior of Light Matters' first concept store serves as the stage for the collection of lamps available in the shop. By using materials in soft and natural colors, the interior remains subordinate to the lamps. However, the surprising application of these familiar materials sparks curiosity.

The experience and impact of the project were important aspects during the design process. The main goal was to add as few new materials as possible to the original space. Natural materials and circularity played a major role. The floor is finished with CO2-neutral marmoleum, made from renewable resources. The stage for the lamp collection is crafted from the natural material brick. Hanging, semi-transparent corrugated sheets subtly yet surprisingly guide the flow through the store. These panels have been kept as close to their original size as possible and are demountable, allowing them to easily find a new purpose in the future.
