I've always wanted to do a piece called "Clouds in my hometown", a wish for many years, so I came up with this seemingly long name, because it's a prelude.
In the big Hakka house of "Dawanshiju", in this year of Gengzi, I think everyone talking about this year should have a lot of emotions. At this time, we are calling for the "truth" in our hearts, the "true purity" that comes from our hometown. In such a vibrant immigrant city, we have the right to make other hometowns as hometowns, we meet in other places are the guests.
"Cloud hut" is through the hometown floating a cloud, looking up to the sky, looking up to the sky of the Gengzi year, the sky is still in the global pandemic. We hope there is a piece of this "hometown cloud" to cover us from the pandemic; there is a piece of this cloud from the "hometown" so that we can have a way to go home. Through this clear and transparent cloud, we see the unpredictable sky. Yes, the year of Gengzi is a year of deformation, of course, there are deformed sky through the transparent cloud, but the sky is still clear, still beautiful, still peaceful.
The "natural bamboo" beneath the transparent clouds is us, the creatures of the earth, day and night. Under this "hometown cloud"; among the lush bamboo branches; in this "cloud hut"; in this gengzi autumn, we should all quietly reflect, or think about ourselves! The past "life" and the future "life". After the pandemic, should we "live" as busy as we did in the past, or "live" seriously! Where is there no cloud and where is there no bamboo and cypress? -In this Dawanshiju!

余一直想作一个作品叫做“故乡的云”，很多年的一个心愿吧，所以才有了这个看似比较长的名字，因为，这是个序曲。
在这“大万世居”的客家大围屋里，在这庚子之年里，我想每一个人说起今年应都感慨万千。此时，我们都在呼唤心底的“真”，那源自故乡的“真纯”。在这样一座充满活力的移民城市里，我们权把他乡作故乡，萍水相逢均是他乡之客矣。“云庐”是透过故乡飘来的一片云，仰望苍穹，仰望庚子年的天空，这个还处于全球大疫之中的天空。我们希望有一片这“故乡的云”为我们遮住大疫；有一片这来自“故乡的云”让我们可以有条回家之路。透过这清澈透明的云，我们看到的是变幻莫测的天空。是啊，庚子年是变形的一年，当然有透过透明的云里变形的天空，但天空依然清澈、依然美好、依然安详。这透明的云下面的“天然之竹”，就是我们这些大地上的生灵，不管白天还是夜晚。在这“故乡的云”的下面；在这葱郁的竹枝间；在这“云庐”里；在这庚子之秋里，大家都应该沉静地去反思，亦或叫思考——自己过去的“生活”和未来的“人生”。大疫之后我们该是像过往那样忙碌的“活着”，还是认真的“生活”！何处无云，何处无竹柏！——在这大万世居！
