Nestled in the heart of Mar Moussa, a village among pine trees, 30 minutes away from the city of Beirut, the residence consists of 3 private units conceived for two brothers and their parents.
The site has an unusual but remarkable shape, with a neighbor blocking part of the view from its north west, wild landscape and trees devastate a 40 degrees slope prolonging the main road from its east side. The project is composed of two duplexes stacked above the parking area and a small apartment for the parents, which benefit each from a courtyard, and wide openings with gardens on its west side facing the view.
The fragmented stone units are interlaced by an external path, constituted by stairs and balconies, leading to an outdoor seating area on the roof. A series of vertical wooden columns, connect the indoor spaces to nature. The project blends in with its surroundings through openings and loggias hidden between and behind synthetic trunks floating all over the landscape.
A scenery that unifies the project to its context, a story about a fragmented program in a site where nature is about to disappear.
