One of the main themes in designing a dental practice is the choice of materials for setting up the premises. The required characteristics in medical environments impose on the designer a series of well-defined choices, where the most difficult task is to balance technical and regulatory requirements with functional and aesthetic needs.
Often, the installation of raised floors proves to be the best solution, ensuring full accessibility to the subfloor for inspections, maintenance, or modifications to the complex network of systems, with the possibility of creating sealed raised floors where required.
Newfloor has produced and installed in a dental practice in Genova over 200 square meters of raised floor type T38HAK with high-density (720 kg/m³) wood chipboard core, aluminum sheet applied to the underside, acting as a vapor barrier, and a covering in porcelain gres. The gres covering is from the Micron 2.0 collection by Imola, Beige color in one room, and from the Prestigio collection by Refin, Calacatta color, in the rest of the studio, both with dimensions of 60x60 cm. The chosen covering not only gave the studio a modern and elegant aesthetic but also demonstrated remarkable resistance to wear and easy maintenance.
The galvanized steel structure provided for this project is of the SNFL type, with light stringers and pedestals of different heights, ranging from 7 to 18 cm.
