After an initial inspection and evaluation by the designer, Radiafloor C proved to be the most suitable solution for the heated terrace of a new villa in Madonna di Campiglio (TN). The designer and client chose the Newfloor product mainly due to its fast installation times, guaranteed by the completely dry installation method, and the absence of a special system, as the system only requires a power cable to be connected to the existing electrical system without modifications, and does not require any gas connections.

The client was also influenced by features that make the system easier to use and reduce energy consumption: by installing external temperature sensors and cameras, it is possible to use home automation controls to monitor and remotely control the system’s on/off operation. This helps prevent the accumulation of snow and ice on the floor, which could cause discomfort on the lower floors. An additional advantage of the Radiafloor C system is its ability to store and release heat: thanks to the direct bonding to the tile, the heat is stored by the tile itself and released even after the radiant system is switched off, ensuring prolonged thermal comfort. Furthermore, the solution is completely invisible and unobtrusive.

The system uses infrared technology with Carbon Fiber resistors, ensuring high energy efficiency and durability, as it requires no maintenance: the Carbon Fiber remains unchanged over time. To assist the designer and optimize the system’s capabilities, Newfloor also offers consulting services, thermal calculations, and on-site inspections by specialized technicians. For this project, the company conducted a study to provide more precise information on the exact number of radiant modules required and their energy consumption. The calculation of the environmental thermal demand took into account various factors such as location, dimensions, and the surrounding environment of the area in question.

For the terrace construction, a ceramic tile was chosen, more precisely a monolithic 2 cm thick and 60×60 cm in size from the Land collection by Castelvetro, in the color Black.
