The Gate Building was the first building of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) development to be completed.
The building consists of more than 46,000 square meters of prime office space with retail components on the ground level and a three-story basement car park for nearly 1,500 cars.
The office building is 15 stories tall and has separate lobbies and elevators for DIFC executive offices and a club / conference center on level 12, occupying 3,500 square meters. Express elevators serve the DIFC floors from the basement car park.
The Gate Building features a double skin and naturally vented curtain wall system, which is designed to provide maximum natural light / transparency but restrict solar gain. Granite frames the transparent curtain wall on the east and west elevations and is also used to highlight the north and south arches, presenting a solid pillar of strength.
