Architecture as a CULTURE OF SPACE, in its attempt to represent the way of enjoying it, manages to materialize a datum that does not exist. In its march towards ‘its’ society, that is towards its identification with the ‘entirety’ of the social phenomenon through the Plan, capital goes though phases necessary to the encompassing of ‘wild’ realities, still devoid of universal ethics, the ethics which, on the contrary, informs its intimate nature as a civil phenomenon.

Scenography for Dysfunctional, Meião builds an artificial baseboard measuring 28 linear meters and 7/8 in height that wraps the gallery space.
Meião is a strip that brings together the works and separates the spaces.
Contingent and content, its door is a hole.
Instead of dressing, Meião undresses.
Its surface is peeled and painted black.
Sparkling electric threads return thickness to the set.
False and synthetic planes become spatialized.
Meião, a "natura naturata" texture, is, at the same time, figure and background.

The show proposes to investigate what new meanings and functions can be attributed to clothing, when developed in an experimental context. With the ambition to overcome the utilitarian and ornamental functions traditionally attributed to clothing, Dysfunctional invited 10 contemporary artists to develop new works and explore a poetics of clothing displaced from its conventional narrative, opening space for new dysfunctions and meanings that subvert the mere utilitarian use.
