Owned by a couple with small children, this impressive apartment at Double Cove Starview Prime in Ma On Shan features a warm and inviting vibe with plenty of space for storage. The owners were eager to make the most of their available space, creating plenty of room for the kids to play. However they also wanted to take full advantage of the spectacular ocean vista that reaches out as far as the eye can see through their expasive windows, providing a glorious splash of colour in the space.

As such, our designer sets out about modifying the layout in order to create more space in the main living area, removing a partition wall between the guest room and the lounge in order to create a semi-open play room for the kids and allowing more light to flood thoughout. The design team also introduced a series of different materials such as warm wood, leather and fabric, which not only create testure, but also easy to clean.

Becuase the windows are vast, the design team maintained an understated lighting scheme in the living room that enhances the sense of spaciousness, allowing the glorious colours of the ocean to take centre stage. The colour scheme has been deliberately kept neutral, further acknowledging the stunning natural surrounds, however the dining table is flanked by grey and teal chairs, edchoing the oceanic undertones.
