Ministudio Architetti has renovated an apartment within Castello Turcke, the iconic building at Capo Santa Chiara in Genoa designed by Gino Coppedè. Poised between eclecticism and medieval influences, the castle overlooks the cliffs with spectacular sea views, creating a setting of remarkable character and identity.
Spread across multiple levels and terraces, the apartment has undergone a complete renovation guided by a bespoke design approach. Every element—from custom furnishings to finishes—was designed by the studio and crafted through a refined artisanal process, complemented by site-specific abstract artworks.
The project establishes a balance between memory and contemporaneity, creating a dialogue between the building’s original rich and decorative materials and new luminous, reflective surfaces. The result is an ethereal and cohesive living environment that reinterprets the castle’s historic identity through a contemporary and carefully measured architectural language.
