In the context of increasingly crowded urban areas, the connection between people and nature is increasingly narrowing, EcoBreeze House is a project that we have tried to approach with natural methods with a sustainable orientation. Not only aiming for a harmonious living space that adapts to the local tropical climate, but also a place where the whole family can gather together while still feeling the beauty of the natural landscape right in their own home. Today's houses tend to be closed, divide spaces and artificially regulate air conditioning with devices, leading to a lack of connection between people and nature, increasing the amount of heat released into the environment.
EcoBreeze House is an effort to maximize the connection with the atmosphere through the contact surfaces of indoor and outdoor spaces. From the sliding door systems that open and close flexibly to the atrium and skylight above, creating an active connection with nature both horizontally and vertically. Instead of using a conventional wall covering, we chose to install a double-skin facade solution - “Double-Skin Facade”. The structure made from natural wood allows natural ventilation and light while reducing the absorption of direct sunlight on the facade from the West, creating a cool feeling to every corner of the house.
This microclimate solution not only helps increase energy efficiency but also brings recognition to EcoBreeze House. At EcoBreeze House, we prioritize not using any artificial cooling methods, but users can still feel the comfortable air throughout the house. To improve energy efficiency, we take advantage of the entire roof area to install a solar panel system, providing a renewable energy source. Natural materials such as granite, split stone, and modified wood meet the criteria of being easy to find, durable, and reasonably priced, and are our priority for use from the exterior to the interior of the house. The interior of EcoBreeze House is designed to ensure harmony between natural elements and functionality.
The heart of the house is the kitchen, arranged according to feng shui principles to connect the main living activities. The space is designed in a multi-dimensional way, with open spaces, skylights, and surrounding green areas, creating a unique landscape structure in the house. The balance between the use areas and green spaces promotes interaction with nature, bringing a peaceful and relaxing living space. On the upper floor, private spaces are connected by corridors and skylights, helping to enhance communication and interaction between family members.
In the context of urban areas gradually lacking spaces connected to nature, the project is an effort of the entire office in joining hands with the community to maximize the area of contact of the building with the local weather. Through the closed and open connections of the sides to design effective sun shading and ventilation, Aplus hopes to contribute to creating a living environment that is strongly connected to nature and in harmony with the weather of Vietnam.
