FIANDRE ARCHITECTURAL SURFACES as Surfaces

Fiandre Architectural Surfaces in Enoteca “Le scuderie del Castello”, a wine shop and wine bar in the heart of Trento

Preserving all the charm of history while giving spaces a more contemporary allure. Enoteca “Le Scuderie del Castello” is a wine shop and wine bar in Piazza Mostra, a location emblematic of the city of Trento. The 200 square metre wine bar located in a late eighteenth-century palazzo aims to become a meeting-place and centre for socialisation, offering the public a programme of artistic and cultural events.

The renovation project conducted in accordance with the Superintendency of Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape maintains the traditional elements typical of the Alto Adige region while adding an innovative touch with use of carefully selected materials. This is the context in which Fiandre Architectural Surfaces, a leading brand of porcelain surface coverings and ideal partner in high-profile architectural projects, installed its ceramic surfaces capable of adding new beauty to spaces of all kinds, from homes to retail outlets, from hospitality facilities to office buildings.

The building’s ancient original features – such as bare brick surfaces, structural arches and red Verona marble trim – are emphasised and harmoniously integrated with Fiandre’s technologically advanced surfaces. From materials to architectural applications: the floor of Enoteca “Le Scuderie del Castello” is covered with materials from the Pulsar collection, made from natural raw materials and capable of contributing new stylistic value with its tactile and visual depth. The full-bodied technique with which it is made allows the full thickness of the slab to be revealed, with a uniform appearance maintaining continuity with its surface. The Pulsar collection was chosen in the colour Dune – a soft, earthy natural hue – for both the flooring in all parts of the wine bar and the bathroom walls. Ideal for covering both walls and horizontal surfaces with its R10B texture, Pulsar can in fact safely be used even in areas where surfaces can be wet. The project was completed in partnership with distributor MSC Home Design and installer MSC Trento.

Once again, the culture of ceramics and the vast range of potential applications of Fiandre surfaces, whose advanced performance allows them to be enriched and customised with great versatility, contribute extra value and depth to a new space.
