Situated amongst picture-perfect country-side this custom new home was built in Gregor’s Creek, completed in 2018. Our clients originally approached us wanting to escape city life and desired an authentic Hamptons style country retreat to share with family and friends throughout their early retirement years. We designed them a home that reflected exactly what they desired for their lifestyle.
With picture-perfect country-side vistas on a well-situated acreage block, the property offered the unique opportunity for a new home to link with an existing old school house, bakery and cottage. These older buildings were destined to be transformed into guest wing accommodation for extended family, with the new central home providing a communal kitchen and family gathering domain for all to enjoy. The design of the new residence extends the warmth of the older buildings and celebrates the very best of modern conveniences. With north-east views, the home avoids looking out over neighbours and instead enjoys the natural surrounds of green paddocks and rolling hills.
The brief for this design was to create an open Hamptons style home, while incorporating the existing, older buildings that were already on the property. The clients wanted an authentic country retreat to share with friends and family, that enjoys the natural surrounding of green paddocks and rolling hills. After living in the home for 4 years our clients could not be happier with the design of their home, stating that there is nothing they would change about the design of their home as it has suited their lifestyle perfectly!
This Hamptons style custom new home design located in Gregor’s creek was designed for a couple reaching their retirement years. Our clients were escaping city life and desired an authentic country retreat to share with family and friends throughout their early retirement years. With their passion for the outdoors and painting, the home was designed with the intent to capture the picture-perfect country-side views situated around the acreage block as well as including an art studio that well captures the natural light of the environment. The home is truly a painters paradise!
