This residence is located in Sakai City.The site is a concave shape and the building is a long and slender form to fit the site. The front face is 2.7 meters wide and the depth of the building is 10 meters. The interior volume (including the connected inner courtyard) is 54.2 square meters, or 6.3 meters by 8.6 meters.The owners required the house to have ample storage, a special space for the display of traditional "Girl's　Festival" dolls, a spiral staircase and an inner courtyard- in addition to having a comfortable and functional nature.The purpose of the architecture was to insert into the site a private, softly lit space with good ventilation,thermal efficiency, clean design and a natural fit into the city surroundings.
