The Intra Mental Health Center, situated in the Davtashen district of Yerevan, is a psychological center for children and teenagers. The previous structure was a two-story residential house with a beautiful red tuff stone exterior but was dated and needed some expansion to account for the center’s operations. In the reconstruction phase we retained the original façade by highlighting the entrance and the third story’s balcony with white voids. We extended the building in the back to create a staircase and added a third floor. We further developed the surroundings of the building by incorporating landscaping techniques to create a pleasurable backyard.
