Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre

Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre

Sitting prominently beside the Petronas Twin Towers, the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre combines clean, modern lines through its external form with subtle design that expresses the Malaysian culture and traditions.

The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre was built as the premier venue for staging large international conventions and exhibitions previously beyond the country's scope.

The distinctive bird-like design of the roof demands specific requirements especially in terms of acoustic performance, ease of maintenance and durability. The specific challenges faced in the development of the roof construction were ensuring the roof was long lasting and that it provided the best indoor acoustic climate.

ROXUL Hardrock 80 on a flat roof membrane construction was used to diffuse the impact of rain noise on the roof as well as enabling foot traffic for easy installation and maintenance work. Hardrock also offers the added benefits of good thermal performance and fire safety properties.
