Casa Decor

The Room Studio as Architects

At the 55th edition of Casa Decor, The Room Studio, led by Meritxell Ribé and Josep Puigdomènech, proposes the design of a hotel suite equipped with a home automation integration system by the German brand Gira.

The Project is conceived from its initial design in an efficient and sustainable way with the environment, opting for construction processes that minimize the environmental impact. Built in materials are intended for to be reused once the Exhibition is over. With the use of home automation, the aim is not only to create lighting scenes, but also to manage and control electricity consumption, as well as increasing the useful life of the lightings.

The space has a comfortable and sinuous circulation created through organic lines and natural materials, obtaining two different areas within the suite with a sophisticated and elegant air.

On the one hand, there is the bedroom that contains: the large bed, an open dressing room and a comfortable sofa. On the other hand, the entrance and the water area with a differentiating dark marble paving creates a warm and unique atmosphere.

The whole set is completed with a fully integrated home automation and audiovisual work that can be controlled through any device. Along with home automation, the most convenient environment is created to relax according to the mood of the guest.

A studied selection of materials is carried out such as: walnut wood, fluted glass, brass details, different types of recovered marbles, silks, natural linens, onyx stone, velvets and hydraulic lime, among others.
