Idea. Continuation of the Italian tradition
L'Osteria is a German chain of Italian restaurants established in 1999. Their locations are currently located throughout Europe, primarily in Germany, but also in countries such as Austria, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, and now also in Poland. The restaurant in Mysiadle, which we had the pleasure of designing, is the second location after the one at the Koneser Vodka Factory in Warsaw's Praga district.

Process. Functionality and coziness

The restaurant in Mysiadle occupies approximately 450m² on the ground floor of a building located within a newly developed retail park. A significant portion of the space is dedicated to a carefully designed backstage area, an open-plan kitchen, and a bar, which, based on the provided guidelines, we adapted to local regulations and needs. The remaining space is an open-plan dining room, where we have placed several types of seating – sofas and booths – providing intimate and cozy areas.

Details. Italian atmosphere

The entire restaurant is decorated in warm, subdued colors, and the lighting creates a welcoming, conducive space for meetings. For the custom-made furniture and furnishings, we used high-quality, durable, and gracefully aged materials, such as various types of wood and stone. The bar counter, crafted from red granite with delicate green veins, is particularly noteworthy.

Hospitality. Light and taste

Designing an impressive serving window overlooking the open-plan kitchen and serving area proved to be a significant challenge. Due to the specific nature of the building and the impossibility of suspending heavier elements from the ceiling, it was necessary to design a separate steel substructure and conceal the rather large columns within the structure. Glass display cases containing books, albums, and accessories create a clubby and intimate atmosphere. The overall effect is complemented by atmospheric, warm lighting that adapts to the time of day.
