The project is located at the highest point of the plot and enjoys an unobstructed view of the Rhone Valley and the Alps. It overlooks the access road thanks to a slight slope that allows you to discover the project on the course.
The volume is placed on the slope without altering the topography and maintains the vegetal character of the site. The project submits a minimum intervention on the ground to ensure proper integration.
Organized on three levels, this project takes the elongated shape of the plot and clearly defines an orientation on the plain.
The volume slides and disengages in response to the program and the site and offers spaces adapted to each function in an entity.
The ground grip is minimal. The entire program can be found in this volume with an entrance table for the car that leads to the front door.
The hall on the ground floor gives access to the living spaces. The kitchen opens onto the dining room and the living room, with a higher ceiling height, give access to a large terrace with a swimming pool. The large openings allow the continuity of the interior spaces towards the exterior.
On the first floor there are two children’s bedrooms with their bathroom, a playroom that also serves as a guest room thanks to a sliding wall and a master suite equipped with a dressing room and a bathroom. A clearance in the circulation gives way to a desk illuminated by a zenithal skylight in spatial relation to the living room.
In addition to a laundry room, cellar and technical rooms, the basement includes a music room.
Inside, in the rooms and the circulation of the floor, the floors are covered with a parquet in ash-olive tree. A covering that has a lot of character and that blends well with the white of the plaster walls. The same wood is used for communication doors, which gives an impression of continuity in the house.
On the ground floor there are large clay tiles that extend to the outside on the terrace and give the feeling of a single continuous space between the inside and the outside.
The house covered with mineral plaster gives depth to the facades. The plaster unifies the volume as an entity. A lighter lighter tone defines the walls that fit into the volume visible in second reading.
