Sustainable from head to toe.
This project was born from the concept of creating wooden modules that would be executed with the local workforce's experience and techniques, optimizing time and cost. The simplicity of using just one material (wood) makes the construction dry and quick to assemble since the components arrive pre-made, facilitating assembly on-site. There are three types of modules: a suite, a kitchen module, and a free module, which can serve as a living area, terrace, or an extension of the others. Designed at 32 m² (4x8), the modules consist of round eucalyptus pillars that receive beams, rafters, and sawn autoclaved pine slats.
Their side enclosure consists of double walls made of autoclaved pine boards, 20 cm wide, allowing for the passage of plumbing, electrical wiring, as well as thermal and acoustic insulation. The front facade is entirely made of wooden frames and glass, while the rear facades have articulated louvers, allowing for cross ventilation. The roof, also made of autoclaved pine shingles, was designed with large overhangs to protect the modules from the sun.
The floor is elevated from the ground, allowing for permeability of the terrain, creating a free area (technical area) for the installation of all equipment. All the furniture, kitchen, cabinets, and side tables were made from the leftover wood from the module construction. The project was conceived with wood as the primary material, considering its renewability and low environmental impact.
