Situated near the harbourfront side of Tseung Kwan O, Monterey is a high-end residence with a practical area of 1,118 square feet. As the unit has a stunning view, the owner hopes to create a leisurely place that can blend with the environment. Therefore, our designer used several curves to outline the space in different areas of the living room. A clean and light color scheme is used as the base, along with various unique furnishings and flooring made of wood with wabi-sabi meticulous details such as rattan, wood and tiles, creating a relaxing refuge with a taste of classy.

Originally a four-room layout, the designer reconfigured it to create a spacious, open living and dining area and distinctly divided into three functional areas. Minimalist fabric furniture highlights the details, while the moulding decoration creates a light classy ambience. An expanded open home office allows for work with a peaceful view, and the dining room is designed with a focus on texture, highlighting with a simple metal pendant, rattan dining chairs and a wood-made dining table, providing this defined area with a touch of soft elegance.

We merged a bedroom to create an extended master suite, connecting it to a walk-in
closet and a bathroom. The bedroom is designed with a calm and tranquil note to
establish a peaceful resting space, with decorative lines adding an elegant atmosphere. The headboard features an arched design and textured wallpaper, creating a unified feeling with the living and dining area, while the bathroom incorporates high-end marble and metal, balancing with a touch of natural wood. A
wardrobe separates the newly added walk-in closet, designed not only for storage but also serves as a privacy screen for the bedroom, in the closet which includes fullheight wardrobes in white, glass, and mirrored finishes to avoid a cramped feeling.

Compared to the elegant classical style of the master bedroom, this single bedroom,
designed for the son, adopts a minimalist earthy style to avoid an overly feminine ambience. The use of light and earthy tones with curved lines in the design creates a
calm atmosphere, offering flexibility for future renovations or furniture additions.
This room also connects to a bathroom, where vibrant ocean blue contrasts with the
bedroom, providing a unique visual sensation.
