Located in Nanjing Jiangbei New Area Research and Innovation Park (NJITRIP),
Zhixin project comprises two 100-metre-high office towers, five individual headquarters and a facility center. The total GFA is 159,700 square meters. On the premise of advocating a healthy and ecological office model, Zhixin project is inspired by '流' — a Chinese character symbolizing the fluidity of data, information, interaction, and innovation, to create an attractive office cluster with unique design.
The project incorporates four key design strategies: Flexible and Diverse Office Spaces, Healthy and Ecological Working Environment, Connected and Interactive Public Spaces, and Elegant and Unique Façade. Each of these strategies is thoughtfully integrated into form-making and space-making, laying the groundwork for a cohesive and unique architectural identity.
The overall layout corresponds to the urban planning of the innovation park and encloses a central courtyard to provide maximum spacing and landscape views as well as a comfortable, walkable enclave of nature within. The porous ground floor design, coupled with green terraces and roof gardens, forms a three-dimensional green office environment. Urban green is also featured in multiple three-story high indoor sky gardens with indoor stairs in the office towers, serving as rest areas and shared spaces, increasing the flexibility of office space combinations, promoting employee mobility and collaboration, and cultivating efficient and healthy work styles.
The facade design visualizes the theme of "流", serves as a visual extension of the project's central theme. Combined with the positions of multiple indoor sky gardens, the architectural form features beautiful curvatures achieved through bevel processing and façade displacement, creating a 3D visual effect through the ingenious use of 2D lines. These vertical sunshades also help to reduce direct sunlight and promote energy conservation and emission reduction. Flowing curves also run through the design of the headquarters buildings and the facilities center, giving this project a unique and strong identity.
Through the ingenious combination of form and function, Zhixin project has created a new model of office space that accommodates and delivers an office design that is tailored to the evolving needs of tech enterprises.
