Nymphaea House — Modern Neo-Classical 3BHK Design | JVC, Dubai

Project Overview
Nymphaea House is a 1,140 sq. ft. 3-bedroom apartment designed to bring modern European sophistication into a contemporary Dubai residence. The brief was simple yet nuanced: create a warm, inviting, and practical home inspired by European classical aesthetics without making the space feel cold, heavy, or overly formal.

Working within a fixed structural envelope—where moving walls or altering ceilings was not an option—our team relied on bespoke joinery, soft color palettes, wall mouldings, and architectural lighting to reimagine the flow and mood of the space.

Design Concept & Key Zones
1. Living + Dining: A Unified Open Layout
Instead of dividing the main living area, we used wall panelling with subtle gold accents to weave the living and dining zones into one cohesive story.

Lighting: A cascading globe garland chandelier hangs centrally, visually connecting the dining table to the living lounge.

Furniture & Palette: A plush cream sofa, a solid wood coffee table, and an oak dining table form a grounded base. A single olive-green swivel chair adds an understated pop of color, ensuring the atmosphere feels airy and light.
Texture: A soft grey wallpaper feature panel sits behind the sofa, adding subtle depth behind the clean moulding lines.

2. Master Bedroom: Serenity & Integrated Functionality
The master suite balances relaxation with practical everyday living by incorporating a dedicated office nook without disrupting the peaceful energy.

Feature Wall: The highlight of the room is a triple-arched wall mural depicting delicate cherry blossoms, backlit with soft LED cove lighting to create a gentle, comforting glow in the evenings.
Decor & Work Area: A blush upholstered bed and a sleek grey bench sit at the center. Tucked neatly into the corner, a floating black desk and a globe pendant light serve as a compact workspace.

3. The Balcony: Outdoor Living Made Cohesive
Rather than leaving the balcony as leftover outdoor footage, we transformed it into a proper third room.

Details: Outfitted with comfortable rope armchairs, a mosaic side table, a textured tile feature wall, and multi-height planters, the outdoor nook flows seamlessly into the bedroom through black-framed glass sliding doors.
The Material & Color Palette
Colors: Cream, sage green, blush pink, soft grey, and warm oak.
Accents: Gold trim mouldings, textured wall tiles, and ambient backlit arches.
Materials: Custom wood joinery, woven rope, mosaic stone, and matte black metal accents.
