Copper office building in the middle of Seoul

Beautiful copper-colored office building in Seoul with curved MD Expanded metal panels. A cool solution for an existing building in the middle of Seoul that has been completely renovated. The building is simply provided with a new shell. For the architect and client BCHO architects, we have been able to realize several projects in South Korea.

FACADE ALSO SERVES AS A SUNBLIND

The MD Expanded Metal has been extended over the windows in a few places. This creates a new silhouette on the outside and a beautiful sun protection for the inside. The panels are provided with a radius. A new profile has been developed to fasten this. This has a chamfer on both sides so that the panel can be screwed in. The screws that are used are in the same color as panels, namely the striking anodized copper color.

TAKE FLATNESS

By rolling the panels or deforming, the flatness of the building is taken away and it gives a different dimension to the street scene. An added value that certainly yields returns for the building owner who rents out the space. With this simple solution, the building has been given a completely new experience that you would like to look at. The light reflection contributes to a spectacular façade in combination with the texture of the pattern and the waves that have arisen in the façade.
