Opera Tuderte

Melissa Giacchi as Architects

We are at the gates of Todi, a medieval, beautiful and elegant town in the center of Italy, in al lot that housed a military shooting range, still visible in the characteristic stone wall in front of the old building.

In this place surrounded by greenery, in the shade of the hill where Todi dominates and with the view of the valley that the Italian-French couple decides to establish their own summer home, as well as the house dedicated to relaxation, peace and well-being.

In search of a welcoming atmosphere, strongly connected to nature and in a perfect harmony with it, the project draws inspiration from these strong elements and the stone curtain to organize a rational and essential interior space, consistent in the unique language of colors and materials.

A single solid ash wood was chosen for all the custom-designed furnishing, as well as all the openings leading to the outside in the full will to gently frame nature.

The house is on two main floors: a living area, master bedroom and well-shielded services on the ground floor and a large desk floor overlooking the outdoor lot framed by a balcony overlooking the living room in addition to the two guest rooms on the first floor.

Everything helps to create an elegant and refined coordinated image, highlighted by luminous accents and an accurate study of both internal and external light. The study of the garden area, the paths and  the area behind the house followed the theatrical logic by working for consecutive scenes and visual screens.

A complex project in perfect balance between the historicity of the place and the contemporary lifestyle.
