Two levels that engage in dialogue between the interior and the horizon.
PH Sierra Vertientes is the complete renovation of a penthouse in Lomas de Chapultepec, a home that has been entirely transformed into a bright, spacious environment connected to both art and its surroundings. The project originated from a private commission that sought to reorganize a two level apartment to prioritize an open and comfortable living space with a clear relationship between the interior and the landscape.
The intervention began by removing all the interior walls, which allowed for a reconfiguration of the layout and the creation of a double height space at the entrance. From there, the house acquires a vertical presence that shapes the experience of moving through it.
One of the key requirements was to transform the living and dining rooms into a domestic gallery. Light wood surfaces, precise planes, and well directed lighting create a serene context for displaying the art collection, generating a path where each piece finds its own place.
The social area was relocated to the upper level, where the natural light is more abundant and the connection to the terrace is seamless. From the mezzanine, the house opens to the exterior and connects the spaces for study, socializing, and outdoor living.
On the ground floor, the house takes on a more introspective character. The wood, the modular design, and the presence of art create a harmonious interior landscape, complemented by a clear circulation that maintains coherence between each space.
The project incorporates smooth transitions between interior and exterior. A stone patio acts as a threshold and provides a sense of shelter that appears at different points in the house, enhancing the character of each space with light, vegetation, and shade.
The upper terrace becomes a key feature of the project. A spacious pergola frames a barbecue area, sink, and built-in furniture. Exposed concrete, terracotta planters, and vegetation create a tranquil atmosphere where shade, fresh air, and expansive views are part of everyday life.
The architecture establishes a precise organization: the public and contemplative spaces on the ground floor, the everyday and social areas on the upper level.
The result is a home where every space has a clear and serene purpose. PH Sierra Vertientes becomes a lasting framework for living. Light, proportion, materials, and art combine to create a home where life flows calmly and each space finds its own rhythm.
