ACA Amore Campione Architettura as Architects

The Piazza CaioDuilio, object of intervention, is located in the town of Favignana in the province of Trapani. This is an important area for its proximity to center of the country and of the island's harbor. The project aims to complete the regeneration of a public space that in the past has been the subject many interventions partial redevelopment.


At the center of the square, was designed a monument the that cuts the square into two zones, recalling the broken lives of victims to whom it is dedicated. The monument is 15 meters long and 2 high, is made with five perforated panels corten steel, embedded in the pavement of the square. It was designed through the use of an algorithm, which allowed a control Continuous of the drawing of the holes both in the design stage of that execution,occurred through CNC laser cutting.
