Starting with the message, "Put a small comma of life in a bowl of warm rice and soup," the client's brand story, which wanted to create a comforting space for people living in a hard life, was deeply moved. The warm but sophisticated, comfortable but elegant brand, and the bowl of sincerity they will make is not just a meal, but a journey to touch the hearts of customers.
We were very inspired by the words that we wanted to comfort with food and space. No, it seems more appropriate to say that I was touched. There may be countless resolutions to deliver sincere dishes, but it was amazing and beautiful to think about becoming a warm friend who will embrace them while looking at the hearts of customers, not for the purpose of their highlights. At that moment, I was able to take the direction of spatial design at once.
Rather than focusing on cauldron for making rice soup, bowls for food, and cooking, let's focus on customers who will be comforted in our space. To put it simply, I thought, "It's really warm and let's help everyone get comfort." It was reminiscent of the word "familiar" in the sense of fulfilling our role by creating a familiar space without being unfamiliar, and for a more friendly expression, the old word "Nicksukda" was set as a space concept keyword to develop a full fledged space design.
"I am always comfortable as if I have heard it many times even during my first visit. Are you here? Sit down. Naturally, I am seated, eat warmly, and feel comforted as I always have. Rather than making a promise that I will come again sometime, it is a place I will visit naturally when I think of it." Our spatialization strategy is like this. It is to develop a clean and unbiased design base that is not too traditional or modern by exquisitely harmonizing the emotions of the past and the present. By doing so, I wanted to make the food and space of pork soup hyo filial piety familiar to everyone, regardless of age
or sex.
For example, traditional materials can be expressed in a modern finish so that they can be enjoyed without feeling rejected by various age groups, or modern systems and details can be harmonized with traditional images to make them easier to use than expected.
When the above strategy was substituted for this site construction, for the first time, the material 'rice straw staco' was selected for the appearance of Hyo, which was expressed by mixing the traditional material called rice straw with the modern staco construction method. Subsequently, the hidden purchase light applied to the access transfer space was the same as a consideration and first greeting for everyone who visited the space. When entering the interior, the wood design and orange lighting create a friendly and warm atmosphere as a whole, and the dark upper and lower finishing tones create a serious weight of the space. The texture of the ceiling and the hemp finish of some walls were harmonized with indirect lighting to add a sense of depth. In this atmosphere, the storage system applied to each household and the delicate role of the fabric curtain, which will create a sense of privateity in the movement to the group seat or toilet, are what needs to be carefully examined.
After completing the construction, we were looking at our space from a distance. A young couple and a child passing by were taking a picture in front of our space, and an elderly man across the street asked about the opening schedule and said thank you that he would come to eat it. It felt great to create a space where everyone of all ages could be loved. I hope that the client's heart to give space and serve a bowl of soup boiled quietly to make it a warm day will be fully conveyed in the space of hyo we have created.
