The project, which is part of a wider programme of redevelopment of Production Center RAI in Turin, provided for the conversion of the Control Room of the study TV4. The idea of Architects was to create a space that through architectural character-identifying respond to demands for comfort for those who work within it, offering both high quality acoustic and lighting.
The Atrium was reinterpreted through the wall of a custom wallpaper with graphics that would allow the immediate recognition of the control room and therefore the TV studio. Even the floor was conceived as an element of communication, through the use of a rubber floor provided on graphic design. Inside the Control Room the raised floor is bamboo, the ceiling and walls were instead drawn with acoustic panels that alternated with different milling allowing to play architecturally with the surfaces and at the same time diversify the sound absorption.
The lighting was solved by linear profiles recessed LED ceiling and pinpoint spot on counter tops. The wall of glass base, also dealt with a reinterpretation of old graphics RAI hides installations Rec. A space that, in all of its elements, manages to be cozy and comfortable in accordance with all relevant operational and technical needs, but at the same time architecturally attractive and unique.
