The house is a period villa from the last century, inherited by a young couple who wanted to bring back the charm of the past with a touch of eclecticism and colour. It is located on Iseo Lake, not far from the place where Christo & Jeanne-Claude set up their monumental Land Art work called The Floating Pierce.

The lake and its saturated colours have inspired the colour palette of the whole project and the use of a range of local and raw materials that interact with the arches and geometric shapes of the composition. The project includes a two-level layout: the living area on the ground floor and upstairs, more intimate, the sleeping area. The most important work was carried out on the paths and the distribution spaces which were moved to the centre of the composition. The staircase connecting the two floors has become the real protagonist of the architecture.
