The old railway station building (built in 1874) with its historicist elements is one of Switzerland's protected cultural assets. The round arches characterise the entrance to the building, where they are complemented by corresponding glass doors.
The original windows and doors were replaced with modern, thermally insulated steel profiles as part of the renovation. The metalworkers from Officine Cameroni SA used special profiles based on the Janisol system. In terms of safety, the Jansen VISS 50 RC3 facade and the Jansen VISS Fire EI30 fire protection façade were used.
