This mixed-use project involved both the restoration of an 80-year-old English-style house and the construction of a new multi-purpose space within its garden, on an extensive L-shaped site in the heart of Villa del Parque.

The main premise was to preserve the historic façade of the house, recovering its value and the identity it brings to the neighborhood. All original materials were restored, including pinewood floors, marble mosaic tiles, and stained glass windows.

From the street, alongside the house, a pergola of arches covered in vegetation leads toward the garden at the center of the block, filled with trees and isolated from the noise of the city. There, a space of successive vaults emerges, inspired by the original arched entrance of the house. Fully glazed around its perimeter, this space allows for an immersive contemplation of the site’s original trees, creating the sensation that the curved wooden ceilings are floating within the garden.

At the center of the space, a pool crosses the project perpendicularly. Above it, the central vault is inverted in relation to the others, giving rise to a waterfall that transforms the entire spatial experience into something unique within the city.
