Spore Bangkok is a digital agency that wants a unique atmosphere to create inspiration to work with. Located in the heart of Bangkok at the 15th floor office building with 800 sq.m.
The space is designed using the concept of “ The Underground Laboratory“ due to the name of the company “Spore”, which mean small cells that can be separate and easily to spread which is consistent with the work of the marketing media company that has to distribute the contents. “Compare the spore like viral content that spreads throughout the night”
Therefore creating an atmosphere that resembies an underground laboratory. The team is secretly making Spore (viral content) to be ready for release to spread to infection to people outside. In which the co-working space is the atmomsphere of an illegal lab that creates viruses, unlike the workspace that is the atmosphere of the lab that creates the virus treatment.
It is important to communicate the story of the whole concept by usign various materials to decorate, such as the introducton of an old screen to transform into a light lamp and using galvanized steel pipes, electric rails, or dismantling cheap, unattractive lapms as bare lamps that fits the idea into decorative element that actually work as well.
In addition to the concept, the placement of the natural light at various points is a priority in this plan. Leaving the area around the glass open to allow light to pass through the officeand placing the meeting room in some places that need to control the light so that the whole area doesn’t look open and lacking too much dimension.
Due of the frequent problems in offices with multiple zones, turning the light off is difficult and takes too long to walk to switch, that making employees leave the light on and wasting electricity costs. Therefore we designed an integrated lighting control board in the exist tunnal which can turn off the lights in separate zones. When the last employee turns off the light, there will be a light at the exist that uses sensors as a motion detector and waits until the employee gose out, then all the light are automatically turned off, reducing the problem of forgetting to turn off the lights a lot.
