Sun Star Traditional & Showroom

VietDECOR as Interior Architects

Sun Star traditional & showroom is a remarkably significant project that provides dual functionalities, first as a conventional room, second as a display space featuring hundreds of distinctive time-honored Vietnamese medicine. With both of these functions crammed into a limited space of 250 square meters, it is necessary to apply relevant design solutions so that the spatial requirements are met.

Sun Star Corporation is a pharmaceutical corporation that offers products with mostly locally natural Vietnamese ingredients. Therefore, the design must be able to reflect the origins of said products as well as the unique knowledge of the Viet people on their traditional medicine.

The concept of a simulated ancient trees forest, combined with traditional Vietnamese medicine boxes of cabinet modules are neatly placed within the space.

The room construction is divided into 3 main sectors:

-          The first one offers an introduction on the company and Vietnamese doctors through the ages;

-          The second section is a display space inspired by the ancient trees ecosystem that features traditional medicinal ingredients;

-          The third and last section acts as a resting space for visitors after learning and experiencing the making of traditional medicine.

The element of a traditional medicine cabinet is an intentionally repeated module, from the display shelves to the simulated ancient trees, floor to ceiling. Visitors get to experience walking through a pathway of dense forestry, exploring storage units cleverly placed inside of the cabinets, towards a scenic open area with thousands of leaves made from Czechoslovakian crystals intertwined between the branches of the Agarwood Trees (Local name is Gio Bau) – trees planted for incense production. Reddish-brown natural timber is combined with artificial moss green carpets, along with white finish walls highlight the elements of ancient trees in the forest. The monochromatic color scheme creates a sense of quietness within the space so that visitors get to appreciate the woodland atmosphere inside the display room.

This project is also the pride of our clients whenever they receive visitors or acquaintances touring the corporate building.
