An Eclectic Jewel Box
A small 1,200 SF condo renovation in Sunset Harbour, Miami Beach overlooking bay views. As a design brief, the clients requested a compact space strategically designed to have hidden storage and enhance the use of the small floor space with built-in seating.
The driving concept for the design was a calm space that reflected the couple’s eclectic and modern aesthetic. With a nod to design motifs from the 70’s, the space features warm wood paneling, a custom banquette, and unconventional methods to maximize the space; for example, we were able to create a niche for the sofa in the living room, which provided us with an opportunity to create a desk niche on the opposite side in the main bedroom.
Project Highlights
A project highlight was the custom table made for the dining area. Fabricated by Ranieri Lava Stone in Italy, it is made of enameled lava stone in a yellow curry color. The table is a one-of-a-kind piece that follows the curvature of the banquette seating to accentuate the shape that is centralized within the floor plan of the space. Ranieri Lava Stone also made the green/off-white bar for the Surf Club, Four Seasons in Miami Beach.
