Located in Sydney's rapidly expanding north-west growth corridor, Tallawong Public School has been designed as a contemporary learning environment that responds to the needs of a growing community while creating a welcoming and connected educational campus. Developed for School Infrastructure NSW, the new primary school provides permanent facilities for up to 600 students and establishes an important piece of community infrastructure within the evolving Tallawong precinct. 
The campus delivers 24 contemporary learning spaces, three dedicated support learning classrooms, administration and staff facilities, a library, hall, canteen and associated amenities. Set within a landscape transitioning from bushland and semi-rural character to a new residential neighbourhood, the design carefully integrates learning, recreation and community. Generous outdoor play areas, landscaped gathering spaces, sports facilities and shaded environments create opportunities for both structured and informal learning, strengthening the relationship between indoor and outdoor educational experiences. 

The project was delivered through an accelerated program following a six-month Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) phase, enabling the school to meet the educational needs of the rapidly growing local population. Working collaboratively with stakeholders, consultants and contractors, the project team delivered a highly functional and future-focused campus that supports contemporary educational outcomes while providing capacity for future growth. 
External works formed a significant component of the project and included site preparation, extensive landscaping, play spaces, a sports court, car parking, road upgrades to Macquarie Road and the construction of new perimeter roads. Together, these works establish a cohesive school environment and contribute to the broader development of the surrounding community infrastructure. 
Completed in 2026 and opening for students on Day 1 of Term 2, Tallawong Public School provides a vibrant, purpose-built educational environment designed to serve generations of students and families in Sydney's north-west.
