The 1st Nagatinskiy residential complex

The 1st Nagatinskiy residential complex — wellness space within the city

Bureau A4 as Architects

The 1st Nagatinskiy business class residential complex will be located in the Nagatinskiy district of the capital overlooking the Moskva River embankment. Much attention has been paid to the ecology of the city lately. Redevelopment is changing the environment for the better, creating a unique place with clean air.

Bureau A4 faced the challenge of developing a memorable concept of improvement for the first stage of the business class residential complex. Based on the concept, the project will develop into the construction of other phases of the complex.

The architects conducted an in-depth analysis of the territory, identified the main consumer values of the place and the problems of space. The bureau revealed the key priorities of the project, namely the search for authenticity, a sense of success, confidence and security.

This is how a harmonious wellness space for relaxation and refresh appeared within the city. Despite the compact territory, the architects efficiently organized a full-fledged park and several comfortable recreation areas here. The landscaping emphasizes the class of the residential complex and compares favorably with other projects on the market with non-standard and non-linear images.

Sergey Markov, partner of Bureau A4: “It was very important for us to design a calm and elegant place with a fresh multifaceted image. We were inspired by modernist gardens and Japanese traditions to create meditative spaces that reflect harmony and peace through the geometry of lines and shapes.”

Complex zoning excludes pronounced semantic dominants in space. Everything is aimed at creating an environment of contemplation and finding peace. The natural levels and silhouettes of the landscape each time suggest new walking scenarios to the residents. Comfortable and hidden from the eyes, the lounge areas are formed by a green frame. One of the areas is designed as an elegant Meditation Garden.

Caption

The multifunctional pavilion with panoramic views is used as an outdoor area for sports and yoga in summer. In winter, part of the pavilion is closed with sliding glass partitions, leaving the opportunity to stay inside and continue training. A living tree inside the pavilion serves as a symbol of unity with nature.

Caption

A playground in such a space forms a taste and develops imagination. The play area refers to the images of Miyazaki and the prints of Katsushika Hokusai, which involve the child in the game process. The culminating object of the site is the gaming bridge "Mount Fujiyama". The forest islands, guarded by kind and reliable guardian spirits from the film by Hayao Miyazaki, reach the Mountain.

The functional zones of the territory are connected by a promenade. Throughout the path, plants of different heights form a natural corridor. The promenade also serves as an art space. The seasons change and the exposition of natural sculptures changes as well.
