Costa Brown Architecture worked in collaboration with Alda Ly Architecture & Design and Chiara de Rege Interiors to create a bright and cozy new space for The Wing in San Francisco. Soft colors and plush textures create a pleasant environment for the women’s coworking space. Located in a historical Financial District building, the space’s exposed concrete structure was painted to create visual continuity and add lightness. Club members enter to find a custom fabricated reception desk with The Wing’s logo cut into the wood surface. Curved archways help create visual connections through the work space, and add an element of charm. The clean lines and blocks of color created by the architecture complement the eclectic furniture and flooring throughout the space. Colorful and sculptural light fixtures lend a luxurious touch, and references to powerful women throughout, both fictional and actual, provide inspiration and a sense of camaraderie. A posh powder room allows members to look their best, and a diner-inspired café offers a break from working and fosters interaction between the women who share the space.
