With the heavy snow that fell in Ontario this winter, I took the opportunity to capture a few projects in a different light. One of those was the Tom Patterson Theatre, designed by Hariri Pontarini Architects for the Stratford Festival.
I had a glimpse at the building while it was still under construction and I knew it would be beautiful. Furthermore, its location, by Lake Victoria, gave me a lot of ideas for images. One that came to mind immediately was a winter shot with people skating on the lake in front of the building. I was elated to be able to make this shot come to fruition, among many others.
Drone images were also important, allowing to capture the wider context, as well as close-up shots of the beautiful shapes of the building.
