Torres Paz is a project by Vicca Verde in La Viñita neighborhood in Barranco, reinforcing the studio's vision of sustainable and biophilic architecture. This building seamlessly integrates nature into urban living, prioritizing natural elements, well-being, and energy efficiency.

Designed to foster a deep connection with nature, the building features innovative greywater recycling from showers to irrigate green areas on balconies, terraces, patios, and planters. A centralized gas system optimizes energy use, while the interiors maximize natural light, ventilation, and open spaces. Views are carefully curated—both towards the park and the building’s internal greenery, making the most of nature in everyday life.

Green spaces play a functional role beyond aesthetics, filtering and oxygenating the air while enhancing the mental and emotional well-being of residents. The common areas encourage a healthy and active lifestyle, including a reception, a washing station for aquatic and sports equipment, and parking for bicycles and motorcycles.

The facade blends architecture and nature, featuring exposed concrete pigmented in a subtle green tone, precisely modulated and detailed. Vertical tensioned cables serve as a framework for climbing plants, allowing the structure to evolve with its surroundings. This dynamic design ensures that nature is not just an addition but an integral part of the building’s identity.

In recognition of its commitment to sustainable and biophilic design, Torres Paz was awarded the 2020 Architecture and City Award by CAPECO in the Low- and Medium-Density Multifamily Housing category.
