The Project is located in what was used to be the entrance of an old Hacienda, The Hacienda of Guadalupe during Porfirio Díaz presidential period. During the 60s a new neighborhood was born in the former hacienda site, Guadalupe Inn Neighborhood between Insurgentes Avenue and Revolucion Avenue. It is the home of parks, houses, little cafes and local stores.
During the past 6 years Revolucion Avenue skyline has changed thanks to the modifications on the zoning and building code, allowing the birth of mid rise buildings between 10 and 15 stories high.
Our project proposal merges the past and the future creating a building that gives identity to the historic neighborhood with its color, tectonics and rhythm but also looks at the future of living with innovative design, the future represented by the outdoors living of the terraces surrounds the facade and merges with the French style balconies used in the haciendas windows giving birth to this hybrid.
