Two Face works just like the names suggests. From one direction the building presents itself as large graphic depicting the address of the building. From the other direction it presents itself as an abstract pattern.

As trucks approach the facade from Roermond to the west they are presented with Euramax building’s address. This makes it easier for deliveries and clients from the town to locate the factory. As the trucks pass the optimal viewing angle the address slowly transforms into a pattern until it is eventually encompassed by the pattern itself. This is accomplished by corrugating the aluminum paneling that would be applied to the face of the factory.

By using Euramax’s new product, Aludesign, we can formally manipulate the aluminum panel while still being able to use color and graphic to transform the conventional aesthetic of aluminum panels. In this way we would provide a static graphic that interacts in a dynamic way with those who would walk or drive by the factory making it not just a sign but a landmark.
