As part of the Phoenix shopping mall, located on the 2nd through 4th floors, UJOY Prime is the newest iteration of the owners’ UJOY brand that boasts four additional fitness gyms throughout Beijing. anySCALE was hired by the owners, a couple with a passion for fitness, to lend their creative talents in making this new addition an exciting benchmark for the brand.
In designing the gym, anySCALE wanted to both upgrade the UJOY brand while distinguishing the premium features of UJOY Prime specifically. As such, we used three main colors for the gym – pale pink, Granny Smith green, and warm chocolate gold.
Pale pink appears in the metal curtains used to highlight the reception and lounge areas. Granny Smith green is represented in the long elevated metal fence that wraps around the majority of the training areas on level 4 and the staircase connecting levels 3 and 4.
While warm chocolate gold is used to for a semi-transparent metal tube wall, which provides privacy for the pool. In addition, the color is used on signage to emphasize the elite qualities of the gym.
