In August 2024, Enter Projects Asia unveiled an extraordinary retail experience at Siam Paragon, Bangkok, for the iconic Vacheron Constantin—a name synonymous with over two centuries of watchmaking excellence. This boutique redefines retail design, weaving timeless tradition and modern innovation into a seamless, tactile environment.
The design draws inspiration from the intricate Guilloché pattern, a hallmark of Vacheron Constantin’s artistry. Enter Projects Asia brought this motif to life using rattan, a natural material deeply rooted in Thailand's artisanal heritage. Traditionally used for weaving and basketry, rattan was reimagined on a grand architectural scale. The boutique features stunning rattan sculptures adorning the ceiling and window displays, their geometric forms echoing the meticulous precision of Guilloché. “Every weave within the boutique tells a story,” Remarked Patrick Keane, Creative Lead at Enter Projects Asia.
The boutique’s design flows organically, with each rattan sculpture transitioning seamlessly into the next. The natural tones of the material are enhanced through innovative coloring techniques, creating a harmonious interplay between organic forms and refined decor. The result is a space where tradition meets innovation, offering visitors a sensory and immersive experience
This collaboration exemplifies Enter Projects Asia’s dedication to sustainability and local craftsmanship. The rattan, locally sourced and handwoven by artisans with skills passed down through five generations, reflects a commitment to both ecological responsibility and cultural heritage. The intricate weave patterns are inspired by Guilloché engraving, blending concentration, precision, and artistry, the same qualities that define Vacheron Constantin timepieces.
