Directly connected to Sapporo Station, this 48-story residential tower—the tallest in Hokkaido—reframes high-rise living as a civic platform. The project supervises design from the ground-floor entrance and lounge through elevator halls to residences above, with key common spaces on levels 5 and 29 curated as an urban “living room” for residents and neighbors alike. Our project, situated between a dynamic urban context and a green campus, uses its unique triangular form to establish a dialogue with its environment. Each side of the triangle maintains a specific relationship with either the urban fabric or the campus, reflecting a deep understanding of the site. The building’s design offers a smooth transition between the city and the campus. The northwest façade, limited to two levels, respects the scale of the neighboring houses, ensuring harmonious integration into the urban landscape. The design journey revolves around enhancing the living experience by balancing minimalism with heritage, innovation with intention, and modern planning with traditional values.
